I love the weekends. The stock market is closed which means my only goal is to have fun with my family. Bumper cars, mini-golf, laser tag, or my hopeless fight to get my kids to watch the movies I loved when I was a kid … it’s just all about play and fun.
The thing about me though is, I can’t wait for Mondays either. I love the stock market! I love the opportunity it provides each and every week where the unbelievable can happen.
I remember owning Five Prime Therapeutics at 17 and waking up to see it at 31 because they closed a billion-dollar deal.
I remember when Heinz was my biggest position and before I even saw that Buffet had bought it, I was receiving congratulatory texts from my friends.
Most of the time, it’s not the overnight success stories, but rather the small battles won. Like putting on a bearish trade in the SPY because the market broke key support and then watching as your theory is confirmed.
Often times, the feeling of being right is just as good as the feeling of making money.
Years later, after being recognized for my trading adventures on both television and print, when thousands of people wrote in asking for my help, the very first thing I did was secure the rights to the greatest trading book ever written.
If you want to wake up on Mondays with renewed inspiration and motivation the you need to read this book.
The big wins happen every so often if they didn’t they wouldn’t be as special as they are. Having traded since the 90’s, I don’t go for big wins any more. Instead, I focus on the weekly victories.
My goal, is to take money out of my trading account and put it into my savings account. The fastest way to do that is with the small victories, not the boom or bust trades.
Check out this book today and then let’s see where your trading journey takes you. I certainly look forward to hearing about it and in the meantime, I’ll be setting up my next trade.
